We are planning three community event days for Spring 2009
The first is a “Bring your own Wheelbarrow and rake day” to create the disabled access from Easter Boleskine House (where there is disabled parking access by arrangement) down to the pondside. A large quantity of scalpings/path surfacing material will be delivered to the site and will need to be barrowed along the path and raked over.
The second is an “Aquatics Plantings day”. This is planned to be an educational day, particularly suitable for children, when a specialist from the Forest Commission for Scotland will be present to assist.
The third day will be to build a wooden jetty over the water so that school parties and the Highland Rangers can get access over the pond for educational talks and activities such as pond dipping for the children. We are therefore specifically looking for volunteers with joinery experience.
